I write and draw two comics, DOKTOR X and THEE ASTRONAUT. I also work on prints and sketch covers. I am putting together an Etsy store and gearing up for a Patreon.Chris Behrenshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08921147153352719781noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4702447047980181659.post-21123808800647373812022-04-23T23:15:00.001-04:002022-04-23T23:15:58.328-04:00April 23, 2022<p><span> Okay, starting over. </span><br /></p><p><span><br /></span></p><p><span><span> I'm working on a new comic right now. I'm almost finished. It's been slow going 'cause I'm second guessing myself. It's called TALES FROM THEE ASTRONAUT.</span><br /></span></p><p><span><span><span> I'm not stopping THEE ASTRONAUT or even DOKTOR X. I'm just adding to the story. I've created a bunch of characters from both books, and I'm excited to try and flesh them ALL out. </span><br /></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span> but.</span><br /></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span> Do I have the time.</span><br /></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span> It's been hard to concentrate. I miss the feeling of community. I miss going to shows. I miss meeting new people, new fans, my heroes. These last two years have been a creative hell. YouTube videos and Twitter have been my only REAL outlets. There's a lot of negativity on both. I( don't understand it. Maybe it's because I don't have a horse in the race. I think comics are for everybody. I KNOW not every comic is for EVERYONE. Heck, I know MY comics aren't for everyone. I get that. I've seen it first hand. But, that's okay. I GET it.</span><br /></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span> So, I'm doing something new. Just like the original THEE ASTRONAUT, this new book comes from somewhere inside my </span>unconscious mind. It started just playing out and I wrote it down. I took some time time to think about how I wanted to present it, I created it into the physical world. I'm hoping I get it done before my deadline. I want to bring it to HeroesCon. I want to share my creation with my peers and my friends.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span> Speaking of HeroesCon, it's in JUNE. THEE ASTRONAUT has completed its first revolution around the sun and so I have collected it into a graphic novel. You can get the individual copies <a href="https://www.indyplanet.com/sparky-comics" target="_blank">here</a> . (Along with the first five issues of DOKTOR X). I'm excited to bring this book to HeroesCon, only a hand-full of creators got to see work my work in progress. Locally, it's done pretty good. <br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span> So TALES FROM is a separate entity, but it tells where some characters came from, some upcoming stories will tell where their stories are going.</span><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span> I hope to post more and more as the time comes. Plus, this will be a place to showcase some of my art. I do want to warn people that some will be NSFW. But I'll try to keep everything vanilla.</span><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> Talk to you next time, </span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> <span> Chris "Eyeball" Behrens</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span> </span><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>Chris Behrenshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08921147153352719781noreply@blogger.com1
